November 16, 1957 - Lou Rauch carries 23 times for 196 yards and two touchdowns to lead Slatington to an 18-7 victory over Jim Thorpe. Rauch opens the scoring in the second quarter when he caps off a 75-yard drive with a 6-yard TD run. Rauch extends the Slater lead in the third frame with a 44-yard burst to the end zone. The winners, who total 342 yards on the ground, gain another tally from James Fritzinger on a 52-yard end-around run. The Olympians only score comes on a 56-yard pass from Conrad Bincarosky to Eugene Mullen.
