Smith part of championship Penn state club teamThe Penn State club field hockey team claimed the 2016 National Collegiate Club Field Hockey Championship on Nov. 20, defeating the University of Virginia 3-2 in the championship game at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex. Junior defender Amy Smith of Lehighton helped the 8th-seeded Nittany Lions top the 16-team tournament, compiling a perfect 6-0 record in pool play and championship elimination play.
