Big Daddy's Restaurant, voted the best restaurant in the Pocono Mountains in 2008, was destroyed by a devastating fire early Saturday morning. The business, located along Route 611 in Paradise Township directly across from the entrance to Mt. Airy, was a favorite of many. The fire was first reported at 3 a.m. and when fire fighters from numerous Monroe county communities arrived on scene the wood frame structure was fully involved in flames. Route 611 was closed for almost six hours. No injuries were reported in the incident.
