Northern Valley's Tyler Schreiner and Justin Welch have been named Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, in the Lehigh Valley Legion Baseball League for the week ending Sunday, June 18.

Schreiner was 6-for-13, with four doubles, one triple, and seven RBIs. He batted .462 for the week, with a slugging percentage of .846 and an OPS of 1.313 in leading Northern Valley to a 4-0 record. For the year, Tyler is batting .348 with an OPS of .943, and is second in the league in RBIs.Welch was a workhorse for Northern Valley, pitching 12 1/3 innings over two starts, allowing only one run on eight hits, while striking out five and walking two, on his way to a 2-0 record for the week. For the year, Welch is 3-0 with an 0.72 ERA and a WHIP of 0.98.
