August 9, 1963 - Richie Kelowitz pitches four innings of no-hit ball and also slugs a home run to help Jim Thorpe post a 5-2 victory over Tamaqua in a Panther Valley Little League tournament game. Kelowitz allows two walks and strikes out two, but is forced to exit the contest because of an arm injury. Randy Smith, who also homers, tosses the final two frames to preserve the win. Bill Murray collects two hits and an RBI, while Kevin Moore and Joe O'Donnell each add a hit and run scored.
