Zachary V. Demarcantonio, 21, of Sharon Hill, Pa., escaped injury in a one-vehicle crash Monday at 9:02 p.m. on Township Route 516 (Old Stage Road) in Penn Forest Township.

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks said he was driving a 1999 Mercury Cougar westbound when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to go off the south side of the road and strike a tree with its driver's side. The vehicle sustained disabling damages and came to rest on the south side of the roadway facing west.Polilce said Demarcantonio was cited after the crash.
