Twelve defendants entered guilty pleas to driving under the influence charges on Friday in Carbon County court.

Judge Joseph J. Matika accepted the pleas from the following:Lansford incidentSalvatore John Canzoneri III, 29, of Lansford, also pleaded to one count of persistent disorderly conduct for an incident on Sept. 6at the Penn Mart store along Patterson Street. Lansford police responded to the area to a report of a person passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle. That person was Canzoneri. When awakened by officers, he struggled with them while being arrested. He also refused a blood test.On the DUI charge Matika sentenced him to serve nine to 24 months in the county prison, a fine of $500, one-year license suspension, 75 hours of community service and zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use.On the conduct count he was sentenced to serve three to 12 months in prison, concurrent with the DUI sentence.He was given credit for 205 days already spent in jail to date on the charges. It was noted he is also facing a state parole violation proceeding.Other pleasRicky G. Andrew, 34, of Nesquehoning, was arrested on Oct. 11by Kidder Township police along Route 903 in Albrightsville, A test revealed a 0.14 BAC.He was sentenced to serve five days to six months in jail, a fine of $300, one-year license suspension, zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use and render 25 hours of community service.He will begin the jail term at 7 p.m. April 6 and serve three days, then April 14 and serve two days.Brian David Correll, 46, of Coaldale, was arrested on April 7, 2016, along Route 209 by Lansford police. He refused a blood test.A first offense, he was placed on probation for six months and ordered to pay a fine of $300 and render 25 hours of community service.Amy Lynn Berlin, 44, of Berwick, Columbia County, was arrested on April 24, 2016, along the turnpike in Kidder Township by state police at Pocono. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.Facing 90 days mandatory minimum in jail, sentencing was deferred so she could apply for placement in the Intermediate Punishment Program - house arrest.Harold Arthur Snyder, 60, of White Haven, was arrested on Sept. 16along Route 940 by Kidder Township police. A test revealed a 0.15 BAC.He was sentenced to serve five days to six months in jail, a fine of $300, one-year license suspension and render 25 hours of community service.He will serve the prison term beginning at 5 p.m. April 13, three days; and April 21 at 9 a.m., two days.Glenn John Fisher, 61, of Lake Harmony, was arrested on May 16, 2015, along Route 903 by Kidder Township police. A test revealed a 0.15 BAC. He was previously placed in the Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program but was revoked for violating conditions.He was sentenced to serve 10 days to 24 months in prison, a fine of $500, one-year license suspension, zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use and render 100 hours of community service.He will begin the jail term at 8 a.m. April 10.Jason Joseph Martonyak, 32, of Nesquehoning, was arrested on June 14, 2015, along Industrial Complex by Nesquehoning police. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance. He was previously placed in the ARD program but was revoked.He spent 196 days in an inpatient rehabilitation program run by the Salvation Army.Matika sentenced him to serve 72 hours to six months in jail, a fine of $1,000, one-year license suspension and render 25 hours of community service. He was given credit for the inpatient placement and paroled.Gregory Robert Oliver, 25, of Weatherly, was arrested on June 1along Lehigh Gorge Drive in Lehigh Township by state police at Hazleton. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.Sentencing was deferred so Oliver can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.George R. Michlovsky, 77, of Lansford, was arrested on Nov. 23along Patterson Street by Lansford police. A test revealed a 0.24 BAC.He was placed on probation for six months and ordered to pay a fine of $300.Christopher Thomas Porambo, 32, of Summit Hill, was arrested on Feb. 24, 2015, by Mahoning Township police along Blakeslee Boulevard Drive East. A test revealed a 0.23 BAC. He was previously placed in the ARD program but was revoked from it.He was placed on probation for six months and ordered to render 25 hours of community service and pay a fine of $300.Christopher James Rhyder, 24, of Albrightsville, was arrested on May 24, 2015, along Route 209 by Nesquehoning police. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance. He was previously placed in the ARD program but was revoked from it.Sentencing was deferred so he can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.Kaliah Alejandria Santiago-Colon, 21, of Bethlehem, was arrested on May 12, 2015, along Route 443 in Mahoning Township by state police at Lehighton. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance. She was previously placed in the ARD program but was revoked from it.Sentencing was deferred because she needs a comprehensive drug and alcohol evaluation.Each defendant sentenced must also pay court costs of about $1,000, a $50 per month supervision fee and follow all recommendations of their drug and alcohol evaluation.
