Country Inn and Suites, Route 209, Interchange Road, Lehighton, held "Christmas in the Country" event on Saturday and Sunday to collect toys, food and funds for the Carbon-Mountaineers Marine Corps League Detachment 996 Blue Ridge Toy and Food Drive. The event raised $733 and a full barrel of toys and several boxes filled with nonperishable foods for food baskets.
