Beatrice Burbes, a resident of the Hometown Nursing Home and formerly of Lehighton, will celebrate her 98th birthday on July 17.

She is the widow of Lewis Burbes, who passed away in 1979. She is the mother of two sons: Bruce Fritzinger, who resides in Lehighton with his wife Charlotte; and Elmer Fritzinger, who passed away nine years ago.Beatrice enjoys cooking and shopping and is still very active.
