Man killed in East Penn crash identified

Carbon County Coroner Robert Miller has released the name of the man killed in a crash in East Penn Township Saturday morning.

John Hall, 87, of East Penn Township, was in a car and went off the road and was found in the woods.He was the husband of Mary Ann (Krasley) Hall for the last 59 years.Born in Northampton, he was the son of the late Edgar E. and Bertie (Berlin) Hall.A proud US Marine who served in the Korean War, John always displayed the American Flag but took it in when raining.He was a member of the Carbon County Industrial Development Authority, and the Allentown Development Authority.According to his obituary, he enjoyed his mountain home, the birds, peacocks, feeding the fish and wild ducks. He also enjoyed his golf group, and his breakfast and lunch buddies.Arrangements are being handled by the Harding Funeral Home in Slatington.See Tuesday’s Times News for the full obituary.
