The Carbon County Business/Education Partnership will hold a Kick-Off breakfast for business and education leaders from 8-9:30 a.m. Dec. 17 at the Blue Ridge Country Club, 2230 Fireline Road, Palmerton.
Seats must be reserved by calling 570-325-4140 x 213.The event, offered free of charge, is aimed at helping people to educate the future Carbon County workforce, becoming community leaders in econmic development and fostering a culture of lifelong learning.The breakfast will offer an opportunity for networking from 8-8:30 a.m., followed by a welcome from Dawn Ferrante, Director of the Carbon County Economic Development Department.Speakers include Dr. Bob Runkle, Executive Director of the Berks Business Education Coalition; Dr. Ed Lyba, Executive Director of Partners in Education; George Hayden, Vice President of Hayden Electric in Carbon County.The breakfast will also include a Business Education Partnership Overview and Call to Action by Cyndi Zimmerman, Executive Director of the Carbon County Business/Education Partnership.
