A Carbon County woman faces charges of attempted aggravated assault following an incident on Sunday.

Lehighton State Police said that at 6:43 p.m. Sunday, Kathleen Ann Kattner, 45, of Lehighton, took a 52-year-old woman's loaded firearm and pointed it at the victim at 38 Hollyberry Lane, Penn Forest Township.After a brief struggle, the victim was able to take the gun.Kattner then went outside and damaged the victim's vehicle with a small outside grill.Kattner was transported to Lehighton Hospital for further treatment by Lehighton EMS.Felony charges were approved.A preliminary arraignment is pending due to the accused being admitted to Gnaden Huetten Hospital.
