Don't fix what isn't broken

Dear Editor,

I hope that the Tamaqua Borough Council would consider restoring the intersection the way it was during the bridge construction by removing the three parking spaces along East Broad Street, between Greenwood and Market streets, in order to make a left-turn and a right-turn lane or through-traffic lane at the intersection of Broad and Greenwood streets. This has been this way as long as I can remember. Why change it now? It keeps traffic flowing at a steady pace. Now it will bring traffic to a halt. I travel this way to go to the Hometown Farmers Market every Wednesday and go to Walmart, also to get my motorcycle, auto and lawn mower parts. What about people who travel to Hometown, McAdoo and Hazleton to go to work? I'm only one person, what about everyone else?Just my thoughtsRobert BenekLansford
