Franklin Township firefighters rescued a seriously injured man Monday morning after he was struck and pinned down by a large tree. The incident occurred in the 200 block of Long Run Road as it appeared the victim was cutting down trees. The firemen freed him from the tree and he was treated at the scene by Lehighton paramedics.
