A fire that destroyed two unoccupied homes in Schuylkill County has been ruled an arson.

State police at Frackville said a fire that occurred at 31-33 Lost Creek Rd., in West Mahanoy Township, just west of Shenandoah, on Thursday, Oct. 1, about 5:52 p.m. was deliberately set. The two homes sustained extensive damages, it was reported.
