Carbon County court

Several suspects were sentenced in Carbon County court by Judge Joseph J. Matika.

Tara Lee Hunter

, 39, of Albrightsville, entered a guilty plea to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. She was arrested on Sept. 18, 2017, by Mahoning Township police. She is currently an inmate in the county prison facing a probation violation charge and is awaiting sentencing in Lehigh County on other charges.

Matika placed her on probation for a year and ordered her to get a drug and alcohol evaluation, zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use and render 50 hours of community service.

Matthew Scott Creveling

, 29, of Lansford, was placed on probation for a year on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. He previously pleaded to the charge.

He was arrested on Nov. 19, 2017, by Lansford police along West Kline Avenue.

He was also ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation, zero tolerance for drug or alcohol use and render 50 hours of community service.

Hunter and Creveling were also ordered to pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation.
