Schuylkill County court

Schuylkill County judges have sentenced two people charged by local police to time in state prison.

Allison J. Sanders

, 39, of Coaldale, was charged by borough police with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia on Feb. 8, 2018.

President Judge William E. Baldwin sentenced her to four to 24 months in state prison on the substance charge.

Justin D. Blume

, 46, of Barnesville, was charged by Rush Township police with driving under the influence, third offense; DUI: highest rate of alcohol; three additional counts of DUI; accident Involving damage to an attended vehicle/property; and driving while his blood alcohol content was 0.02 percent or greater while his license was suspended on Jan. 5, 2017.

Blume pleaded guilty to DUI-highest rate, causing an accident, and DUI while his license was suspended.

The remaining charges were dropped.

Judge Jacqueline L. Russell sentenced Blume to one to five years in state prison, pay a $2,500 fine and court costs and fees on the DUI-highest rate charge.

She also sentenced him to 12 months on probation on the accident charge, to be served concurrently, plus 20 hours of community service; and 90 to 180 days on the charge of driving under the influence while his license was suspended. That sentence will be served concurrently.
