Schuylkill County Court

Seven local residents arrested by Coaldale police received county prison sentences in rulings by Schuylkill County Judge Charles Miller on May 23.

Francis P. Boyle

, 39, Coaldale, was arrested by James Bonner on July 8, 2018, on charges of DUI/controlled substance. Boyle’s sentence is 72 hours to six months, and he must pay a $1,000 fine, $75 to MCARE, $50 to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Act, $400 to Lehigh Valley Health Network and $100 to the substance abuse education fund. His license will be suspended for 12 months. He must complete the Alcohol Highway Safety School and perform 10 hours community service.

Torrey S. Mueller

, 42, Tamaqua, was arrested by Thomas Sabulsky on June 30, 2018, on charges of endangering the welfare of a child, DUI, and a safety restraint violation. On the DUI charge, Mueller must serve 90 days to five years, concurrent to six to 12 months for endangering the welfare of a child. Mueller must pay a fine of $1,500, $400 to LVHN, $150 to MCARE, $50 to CJEA and $100 to SAEF. Mueller must submit a DNA sample and pay $250. Mueller’s license will be suspended for 18 months, plus a one-year ignition interlock. In addition, Mueller must complete the Alcohol Highway Safety School and complete a three-month outpatient substance abuse treatment.

Chastity A. Yatsko

, 27, Tamaqua, was arrested Sept. 5, 2018, by Jeremy Sborz on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct and retail theft. On the possession of drug paraphernalia charge, Yatsko was sentenced to time served to 11 months. Yatsko must pay $113 to the Bethlehem Crime Lab, $50 to the CJEA and $100 to the SAEF. The other charges were dropped.

Leonard Kale

, 35, Lansford, was arrested June 19, 2018, by Thomas Sabulsky on charges of DUI/controlled substance. Kale was sentenced to 72 hours to six months. He must pay a $1,000 fine, plus $520 to LVHN, $75 to MCARE, $50 to CJEA and $100 to SAEF. His license will be suspended for 12 months. He must complete the Alcohol Highway Safety School and three months outpatient substance abuse treatment, and serve 10 hours community service.

Irene E. Attiyeh

, 31, Coaldale, was arrested Jan. 15, 2019, by James Bonner on charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment. On the simple assault charge, Attiyeh was sentenced to time served to 18 months, and must pay $50 to the CJEA. With credit for time served of 142 days, Attiyeh was granted parole. The other charges were dropped.

Kody M. Frank

, 27, Pottsville, was arrested June 18, 2018, by Thomas Sabulsky and charged with possession of a controlled substance and misbranding. He must serve 60 days to 12 months, pay $100 to the SAEF and $50 to the CJEA.

Drew A. Strohl

, 58, Coaldale, was arrested by James Bonner on June 1, 2018, on a charge of DUI/highest rate. Strohl was sentenced to 30 days in county prison, followed by four years and 11 months of Intermediate Punishment, including 120 days on house arrest, seven months strict supervision and four years on probation. He must pay a $1,500 fine, $300 to the SAEF, $150 to MCARE, $520 to LVHN and a $50 a month supervision fee. He will undergo an 18-month license suspension and a 12-month ignition interlock.
