The Tamaqua chapter of Preceptor Alpha Upsilon Sorority met Nov. 29, making plans for the holidays.

Special guest speaker Kassandra Kayes provided a program on the health benefits of essential oils and their many uses. Members were given samples of a cleaning solution made from the oils.

Holiday plans included attending the Orwigsburg Holly Trail event this week and Wednesday’s Secret Sister Christmas party. The party will be held at the home of Mary Machay, beginning at 6 p.m.

The evening will include dinner and a gift exchange. Donations for the residents of Bethany Children’s Home are due at the meeting/party.
