Coaldale woman gets long prison term for two DUIs

A Coaldale woman drew a long prison sentence after pleading guilty to two count of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol. She was one of 22 defendants who pleaded guilty to criminal charges and were sentenced by Judge Charles M. Miller in Schuylkill County court.

Judy Lynn Fetrow, 45, of 341 Ridge Terrace, sentenced on two DUI of alcohol charges and received a total sentence of 93 days in the county Pprison to five years and six months.She also has was fined $2,500, pay $600 to Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund, $100 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA) fund, $160 to Schuylkill Medical Center (SMC), $100 to Catastrophe fund, perform 20 hours community service, and driver's license suspended 24 months. Fetrow was cited by Pottsville police and by Trooper Mark W. Knock. On two counts of failing to drive on roadway laned for traffic was fined $50 plus $100 costs.Shawn William Clemens, 36, of 6 Bolgash Lane, Tamaqua R.D., simple assault on Thomas Carroll, 626 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, 18 months probation, pay $50 to CJEA fund, and make restitution of $6,665.30 to victim. Charges of aggravated assault, harassment, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness were dropped. Clemens was cited by Tamaqua Patrolman Joseph Krebs.Richard Edward Michlousky, 51, of 261 Rowe St., Tamaqua, disorderly conduct, fined $300 and pay $50 to CJEA fund. Under a plea agreement three counts of threatening and improper influence in official matters were dismissed.Robert Joseph Roundtree, 43, of 49 Water St., New Philadelphia, disorderly conduct, fined $100 and pay $50 to CJEA fund. Luciana, state trooper.Michael Carl Reber, 26, of 144 Coal St., Cumbola, Blythe Township, DUI of alcohol, 72 hours hours six months in the county prison beginning Monday, July 15, at 9 a.m., fined $1,000, pay $300 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $50 to MCARE fund, $60 to SMC, complete safety school, receive outpatient substance abuse treatment, and driver's license suspended 12 months. On a summary charge of failing to have car lights on during required period was fined $25 plus $50 costs. Reber was cited by Schuylkill Haven police.Todd Michael Saunders, 39, Pottsville, DUI of drugs, serve 30 days in the county prison beginning Tuesday, July 9, at 9 a. m. followed by four years and 11 months on probation in the Intermediate Punishment Program (IPP), fined $1,500, pay $300 to SAE fund, $100 to Catastrophe fund, $460 to SMC, complete safety school, driver's license suspended 18 months and when restored must have ignition interlock device on car for 12 months. Saunders was cited by Trooper Thoimas Hornung when stopped on SR443 in Wayne Township.Kathleen Herb, Shenandoah, DUI of alcohol, given credit for serving 37 days in a rehab center saved her from spending 30 days in the county prison and she was placed in the IPP for four years and 11 months, fined $1,500, pay $300 to SAE fund, $100 to Catastrophe fund, complete safety school, continue with behavioral health treatment, driver's license suspended 18 months and when restored install an ignition interlock on her vehicle for 12 months.Alfredo Carabello, 56, Shenandoah, disorderly conduct, fined $100 and pay $50 to CJEA fund.
