A spirit of optimism surrounds the supporters of the Summit Hill Community Improvement Organization.
Following the idea that the organization could be abolished, a group of supporters appealed to the Carbon County Court and received approval to allow its supporters to revive the organization, providing they prove success in their efforts over a 12-month period.
At a meeting aimed at that revival, 37 persons were present and paid $1 membership fee for SHCIO for 2008.
The group proceeded to name Debra Ranck as its president; Sharon Chapman, vice president; Michele Toniatti, secretary; and Jean Papinsick, treasurer.
Attorney Joseph J. Matika is assisting the group in its efforts.
