MCT releases earnings

The board of directors of Mauch Chunk Trust Financial Corp. has released earnings results for the corporation for the period ended Sept. 30.

Net income for the three months ending Sept. 30, was $1.2 million, which is $247,000 higher than the same period in 2025. On a per share basis, net income was 37 cents this year, versus 30 cents last year.

Higher net income in 2026, year-to-date is attributable to an increase in net interest income and other income combined with a decrease in the allowance for credit losses, partially offset by increases in other expenses and income tax expense.
