Raising the House

Raising the House will hold a cash bingo fundraiser on Nov. 8 at the AquashIcola Fire House. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Bingo starts at 1 p.m.

Bring a donation of boxed pasta, granola bars or boxed oatmeal in support of the organization’s backpack program and receive a game board for the starter game.

There will also be a basket raffle and 50/50. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase.

Tickets for the event can be purchase ahead of time or at the door. Tickets are available at the Palmerton Library front desk or by visiting the fundraisers tab of raisingthehouse.org.

Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 500 Church Drive, Palmerton, will hold its worship service every Sunday, beginning at 10 a.m.

The church announced the following events:

• Community Trunk or Treat will be held from 5-7 p.m. Oct. 31 with neighboring JUCC. The event is held in the church parking lot.

Blue Mountain Community Church

Benevolence Thanksgiving Basket Blessing: The Benevolence Ministry is holding its annual Thanksgiving baskets. Help is needed to help fill the baskets. Food items and gift cards are being collected at the church from Nov. 1-15. Items needed include cans of sweet potatoes, green beans, corn or cranberry sauce; jars, cans or packets of gravy; boxes of stuffing or mashed potatoes; box mixes of no bake holiday desserts and $25 gift cards to Walmart or Giant.

Faith Alive Church

Faith Alive Church, 678 Pine St., Palmerton (Bowmanstown) holds two services each Sunday with Pastor Joong H. Kim. A contemporary service is held at 8:30 a.m., followed by Sunday school for all ages at 9:45 a.m. A traditional service is held at 11 a.m.
