October 17, 1983 — Palmerton dominates at the Centennial League golf tournament to win the team championship. The Blue Bombers take first, second and third in the tourney’s first flight, and also claims first in both the second and third flights. Dave Carazo fires an 80 on the par-72 Shawnee Country Club course to take top individual honors. Carazo wins the championship flight, and is followed by teammates Dean Smith (84) and Todd Lichtenwalter (86). Tim Ziegenfuss takes the second flight with an 85, while Gary Paules gains the third flight with an 87. Lehighton finishes second in the team standings.
