October 13, 1973 — Marian scores two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to pull out a 21-20 victory over Cardinal Brennan. Trailing 20-7 with just over five minutes to play and the Chargers in possession, Vince Shickora recovers a fumble for the Colts. On the next play, Metro Malasavage scampers 27 yards for a touchdown that narrows the gap. After forcing a three-and-out, Brennan punts and Stash Kosciolek breaks free for a 75-yard return to the end zone. Kosciolek, who also tallies Marian’s first TD on a 1-yard carry, runs in the two-point conversion for the go-ahead and eventual winning points.
