October 5, 1985 — Marian scores on offense, defense and special teams to earn a 28-0 victory over Nativity. The Colts put up 325 yards of offense, including 283 of them on the ground. Dave Houser leads the ground attack, carrying the ball 21 times for 146 yards and two touchdowns. He opens the scoring in the opening quarter when his 29-yard gain leads to a 1-yard plunge into the end zone. Marian, coached by Stan Dick, expand the advantage in the second frame when Sean Love blocks a punt and Jason Matuszkiewicz recovers the loose ball in the end zone. Houser adds a 2-yard TD in the third, while Tom Hydro seals the win when he scoops up a fumble and races 22 yards to paydirt.
