Monroe County crashes
State police at the Stroudsburg barracks reported the following crashes:
• No one was hurt in a two-vehicle crash at 6:07 p.m. Sept. 4 on Hamilton Road South, near the intersection with Neola Road, in Hamilton Township.
Police said the crash occurred as Donna L. Lippincott, 75, of Sciota, was driving a 2004 Honda CRV northbound when she failed to recognize that a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe in front of her had slowed down to make a left turn onto Neola Road.
The Honda hit the Tahoe, which was driven by Brittaney L. Winiarz, 40, of Stroudsburg, who had a 4-year-boy as a passenger, police said.
Lippincott was issued a warning for failing to drive at a safe speed, according to police.
• Fhateema J. Mason, 25, of Pocono Summit, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 5:56 a.m. Sept. 11 on Route 33 in Hamilton Township.
Police said she was driving a 2013 Subaru Outback southbound when the vehicle traveled off the road and struck a guide rail before spinning around and making a second impact. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Mason was issued a written warning after the crash, according to police.
• Jolan M. Fitt, 22, of Saylorsburg, was injured in a motorcycle crash at 7:49 p.m. Sept. 16 on Interstate 80 in Stroudsburg.
Police said he was transported by personnel from the Suburban Ambulance to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Pocono Campus, East Stroudsburg. They said the severity of his injuries is unknown.
Police said he was operating a 2026 BMW S1000 RR eastbound and was merging into the next lane when the motorcycle lost traction, traveled onto the left shoulder of the road and struck the center concrete barrier. Police said the motorcycle slid along the barrier for an unknown distance before striking a guide rail.
It was heavily damaged and removed from the scene.
Fitt was issued a warning after the crash, according to police.
• Sienna A. Blue-McKenzie, 31, of Phillipsburg, New Jersey, and Jeffrey J. Miller, 32, of Tobyhanna, had suspected minor injuries after a one-vehicle crash at 3:01 p.m. Sept. 19 on Route 33 in Hamilton Township.
Police said they were transported by personnel from the Lehigh Valley Health Network EMS corps to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Pocono Campus, East Stroudsburg.
Police said Blue-McKenzie was driving a 2017 Nissan Sentra, with Miller as her passenger, when the car suddenly began to shake, at which time she drove off the right side of the road and struck a bridge abutment. The car came to rest in a grassy area off the right shoulder.
Police said the car had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation was notified of minor damage to the bridge abutment.
