Trinity Happenings

First Saturday Quiet Communion Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., Lehighton, begins at 4 p.m. Sunday worship with Holy Communion begins at 9:30 a.m. Licensed Lay Minister Kathy Long presides. Coffeehouse fellowship follows in Luther Hall.

Church initiatives:

The Food Pantry is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays (and third Tuesday from 5:30-7 p.m.) with an outdoor drive-up setting. Residents who reside in the Lehighton Area School District are eligible to receive supplemental food. Participants must remain in their vehicle at time of pickup. Pantry volunteers will assist pedestrians/those not in vehicles.

Trinity Thrift Store is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesdays; and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and Saturday. Cash only sales. Donations of clothing and household goods will be accepted during store hours on Wednesdays only. There is a five bag limit. Use door 2 to bring clothing inside.

“Blessing of the Animals” Oct. 3, 2:30 p.m. on the church lawn. Pets must be secured. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held in Luther Hall.

Christ Evangelical Free Church, 2420 Blakeslee Blvd., Dr., West in Lehighton holds worship service beginning at 10 a.m. Sunday.

Sunday School: Sunday School for children and youth every Sunday at 11 a.m., except the first Sunday of the month.
