Three Schuylkill County residents were cited following an incident in the borough of Girardville on July 6.
About 5:30 p.m. state police at Frackville received a complaint of an explosion in the 200 block of West Ogden Street. Witnesses described three males fleeing the scene heading west. A short time later three males were encountered by troopers at the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation bridge construction site in the borough.The three were identified as Kyle Anthony Konas Jr., 20, Nicholas C. Popp, 20, and a 17-year-old male, all from Ashland. The three were observed "playing with and possessing" construction equipment at the site. The three admitted to setting off a quarter stick explosive earlier.The three were cited for disorderly conduct, troopers said.
