Sophia Schaffer became Northwestern’s all-time girls soccer goal scorer during Monday’s contest against Moravian Academy.

Schaffer had five goals to lead the Tigers to a Colonial League win.

In other soccer action, Lehighton’s Claire Bridy, Tamaqua’s Aidan Elston and Northwestern’s Cole Mertz also had hat tricks to lead their respective teams to victory.

Northwestern’s Sophia Schaffer scored five goals to not only lead her team to a 6-2 victory over Moravian Academy, but also set the program’s all-time scoring record.

Schaffer now has 140 career goals, passing Sarah Segan’s mark of 139.

The Tigers also received a goal from Ellie Fluke, while Juliet Snyder and Amelia Glassberg both added a pair of assists.

Claire Bridy’s second-half hat trick helped Lehighton gain a 4-2 non-league victory over East Stroudsburg South.

The Indians’ Laina Zimmerman knotted the score 1-1 in the first half off her own corner kick, but the Cavaliers tallied again to take the lead at the break.

Bridy delivered the tying, go-ahead and insurance goals in the second half to seal the win.

Jim Thorpe came up short in a 4-0 Colonial League decision to visiting Wilson.

The loss dropped the Olympians to 1-12, while the Warriors improved to 7-3-2.

Tamaqua-Weatherly

Aidan Elston recorded a hat trick to lead Tamaqua to a 7-1 non-league victory over Weatherly.

Wyatt Devlin added two goals for the Raiders, while Koda McMullen and Brody Schlier each scored once. Evan Tamagini and Bryce Eltringham both had two assists, while Elston and McMullen added one apiece.

Eddie Feiling scored for the Wreckers. Noah Mayernick made 21 saves for Weatherly.
