Susan Zukovich, a Tamaqua Area High School senior, was named the 1994 Carbon-Tamaqua Junior Miss.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Zukovich, Susan won a $1,000 scholarship to Allentown College of St. Francis de Sales, a $500 cash scholarship, a $200 Savings Bond and the right to compete in the Pennsylvania Junior Miss Program to be held in November in Reading.

The first runner-up was Jennifer Padora, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Padora, while Laura Wychulis, daughter of Charles and Jan Wychulis of Tamaqua, won the Creative and Performing Arts Award and Kimberly Bartasavage, a Tamaqua student, received the Spirit of Junior Miss Award.
