No one was injured in a crash involving two vehicles on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, state police at the Pocono barracks said.

Benjamin Martey, 59, of Burlington, New Jersey, was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed after the crash at mile marker 96.5 in Kidder Township, police said.

Martey was driving a 2023 Grande West Transportation International southbound when he lost control of it and the rig crossed into the left lane, hit a concrete barrier, crossed back across both lanes, left the road and struck a small culvert before jackknifing, according to police.

Police said when the rig struck the concrete barrier, a piece of the barrier broke free and landed in the northbound lane where it was struck by a 2021 Subaru Impreza operated by Timothy J. Lavelle, 24, of Moosic.

Police said the rig had disabling damage, while the Impreza had minor damage.
