September 24, 1998 — Northern Lehigh’s Matt Oertner set a school record on his home course in helping his team go 4-0 during a Colonial League cross country meet. Oertner crosses the finish line in 16:45 to break the old mark previously held by Tim Pfluger. The Bulldogs’ success allows head coach Dave Oertner to reach 500 career wins. John Breininger finishes the race second for Nolehi, while teammate Alex Kowaleyk ends in third. Andrea Reinhart is the top Bulldog finisher in the girls race, taking sixth.
