State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating a crash in Slatington involving a stolen vehicle.

Police said a 2001 Ford Ranger was reported stolen from 458 Little Gap Road, Lower Towamensing Township, at 1:27 a.m. July 14.The ownertold police someone took the black truck from behind his residence. The keys were in the unlocked vehicle, police said.At 9:39 p.m. the same day, Slatington police were summoned to a crash in that borough where the stolen vehicle struck a garage and the driver fled the scene.Anyone with information about the theft or crash is asked to contact state police at 610-681-1850.
