Northern Lehigh’s field hockey team and Pleasant Valley’s boys soccer squad both picked up wins on Monday.

FIELD HOCKEY

Northern Lehigh-Wilson

Kenzie Chruscial scored a pair of goals to help Northern Lehigh post a 3-1 Colonial League victory over host Wilson.

Chruscial also assisted on her team’s other goal, which was scored by Ada Porobenski.

The Warriors grabbed an early 1-0 lead in the opening quarter before Chruscial tied the score in the second. Porobenski put the Bulldogs ahead in the third, with Chruscial adding an insurance tally.

Bangor used a pair of second-half goals to earn a 3-1 Colonial League win.

Aubrie Labar’s two-goal performance led the Slaters, while Madison Mera also scored for the winners.

The Indians’ lone goal came from Addie Yenser, who was assisted by Sophia Wise.

Lillian Klotz recorded 12 saves in front of the Lehighton cage.

Jasper Porter’s first-half goal was all Pleasant Valley needed to secure a 1-0 Eastern Pennsylvania Conference victory over Pocono Mountain East.

Richon Russ was credited with the assist for PV, who has won four out of its last five games.

The Bears’ Cole Clark recorded the shutout, finishing with eight saves.

Blue Mountain didn’t drop a set in earning a 7-0 victory over Tamaqua.

The Blue Raiders managed to win just six games in the match, which proved the be the Eagles’ 10th win of the season.
