State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following crashes:

• Three vehicles had minor damage from a pileup at 2:46 p.m. Sept. 12 on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike off-ramp to Route 903 in Penn Forest Township.

Police did not identify the drivers of the vehicles but said no one was injured in the incident.

It occurred when a 2006 Toyota RAV4 was traveling too fast and attempted to stop behind a 2019 Jeep Compass, striking it and pushing it into a 2020 Honda Pilot.

Police said the driver of the RAV4 was cited for driving without a valid license.

They said the vehicles were able to be driven from the scene.

• Eliseo D. Perez, 72, of Venice, Florida, was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 2:23 p.m. Sept. 9 on South Old Stage Road, Penn Forest Township. He was uninjured in the incident.

Police said he was driving a 2020 Chevrolet Traverse northbound when it went off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole, breaking it in half, and then hit a large tree. The vehicle traveled across the road and came to rest in a ditch. It was towed from the scene.

• The driver of a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado that crashed at 2:39 p.m. Sept. 5 on Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township was uninjured.

Police did not identify the driver who was southbound when the Silverado went off the right side of the road and struck an advertisement sign.

Police said the vehicle was able to be driven from the scene, but the operator’s family required it be towed.

• Two vehicles were damaged in a crash at 3:20 p.m. Sept. 11 at the intersection of Jonas and Merwinsburg roads in Chestnuthill Township.

Police did not identify the drivers of the vehicles but said that no one was hurt in the crash.

The crash occurred when a 2011 Toyota RAV4 was stopped behind a 2022 Toyota Highlander waiting to go through the intersection. Police said the Highlander came to a complete stop due to traffic flow, at which time the driver of the RAV4 proceeded into the intersection and the vehicle struck the Highlander.

Police said the RAV4 had no damage, while the Highlander was heavily damaged. But both vehicles, police said, were driven from the scene.

• Police investigated a hit-and-run crash at 4:38 p.m. Aug. 7 on State Street, East Side Borough.

They said a vehicle traveling south left its lane of travel and struck a utility pole, snapping it off, and then struck a fence. The driver fled the scene, police said.
