State police at Lehighton said that Coalton Z. Michell, 24, of Palmerton, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after a one-vehicle crash at 2:14 a.m. Sept. 3.

Police said he was driving a 2022 Subaru northbound and was unable to maintain its lane of travel, crossing over the double yellow line and traveling onto the western shoulder, where the vehicle struck an embankment and overturned.

Michell had minor injuries but refused a medical services transport from the scene, according to police.
