Northwestern remained unbeaten in Colonial League girls soccer with a 9-0 victory over Pen Argyl, while Pleasant Valley rallied from a two-set deficit to knock off Nazareth in volleyball.

The Tigers snapped a four-match winning streak for the Indians.

Lacy Clymer led Northwestern with 10 kills, five digs and three aces. Lexi George collected 25 digs and two aces, while Jaelyn McAdams finished with 18 assists and three aces.

Allison Solt paced Lehighton with seven kills, three blocks and an ace. Aleea Yeakel collected 28 digs, while Breanna Demage had 15 assists and seven digs.

Pleasant Valley rallied from a two-set deficit to earn a 3-2 victory over Nazareth in an Eastern Pennsylvania Conference thriller.

The Bears dropped the opening two sets 26-24 and 25-18, before turning the match around. Pleasant Valley stayed alive with a 25-23 victory in the third, followed with a 25-22 win in the fourth before pulling away for a 15-9 triumph in the decisive fifth set.

Isabella Slizewski led the Bears with 14 kills, four blocks and three aces, while Sasha Slozina contributed 13 kills and 12 digs.

Lila Borger added eight kills and 10 digs, while Harley Durant finished with six kills and three blocks. Kira Hnat handed out 26 assists, and Macey Fette added 12.

Mya Williams and Hunter Farkas paced the defensive effort with 14 digs apiece.

Marian Catholic’s Wade Eroh won the boys race in 18:29 during a tri-meet with Weatherly and Shenandoah Valley.

Eroh led the Colts to dual-meet victories over Weatherly and Shenandoah Valley. Shenandoah Valley’s Gabriel Saba placed third in 20:05, while Alex Best paced Weatherly with a fourth-place finish in 20:15.

Weatherly swept the top three places in the girls race, led by Mikayla Pugh’s winning time of 22:21. Mikayla Kuntz was second in 23:42, and Emma Moyer third in 24:28. Anna Keer finished fourth for Marian Catholic, while Valeria Hernandez placed fifth for Shenandoah Valley.

Jim Thorpe’s Logan Gillespie turned in a dominant performance during Tuesday’s multi-team meet at Northern Lehigh, running away with the individual victory.

Gillespie crossed the finish line in 18:56.2, more than two minutes ahead of Saucon Valley’s Bridget Steidle, who placed second in 21:23.3.

Lehighton also produced a strong showing, placing three runners among the top six. Claudia Pagotto finished third in 21:49.9, with teammate Grace Cathers right behind her in fourth at 21:50.6. Anna Hawk added a sixth-place finish in 22:25.4.

Jim Thorpe’s Kayleigh Halenar joined Gillespie in the top five, placing fifth in 22:22.6. Stacy Bos gave the Olympians another top-15 finisher, taking 11th in 23:10.4.

Palmerton’s Lillian Fox placed seventh in 22:34.2, while Northern Lehigh was led by Emily Gad, who finished 10th in 23:02.7.
