William Mansberry Sr. was named president of the Summit Hill Borough Council last night, chosen to succeed Mrs. Kathleen Lanzos.

The latter resigned the presidency she held for the past five years.

Mansberry was appointed to the top spot on a 4-2 vote, gaining the favor of councilmen John Ferko, Patrick Rutch, Robert Risavy and Philip Shelton.

Mrs. Lanzos and Patrick Cinicola, whom she nominated for the presidency, cast dissenting votes.

Ferko was the only nominee for the vice president position.
