They perform a medley of hits complete with plenty of sing-along from their audience.

Equipped with music that suits all tastes, Nowhere Slow is certain to engage the audience when it performs from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday on the Main Stage at this year’s Palmerton Community Festival.

The band has appeared at the venue several times, according to drummer Matt Kester.

“We do lots of different types of shows,” Kester said. “These sometimes are some of our favorite when it’s more like an audience sitting and watching you perform.

“We also do lot of sing-along. The audience is super fun. The venue is great, the food’s amazing, they feed us, and they always do very cool things for the performers It’s a great place.”

Kester said the audience at the festival can expect “a little bit of everything.

“Something for everybody,” he said. “It’s fun, family friendly.”

Kester said the four-member band also consists of Rick Gillette, singer/rhythm guitar, John Canjar, lead guitar player/vocalist and Will Clauss, bass player.

He said that in high school, Gillette started the band with some friends, and that the band has been around for over 20 years and features mostly original members.

During that time, Kester said the band has played all up and down the East Coast, all the way down to Key West, Florida, and in California and Jamaica.

“Think of the experience as a super fun wedding that you talk to your friends about,” he said. “Sing and dance along in your chair or on your feet.”

Kester said the band plays anything from The Beatles to Taylor Swift.

“We’re really going to play some really good music,” he said. “I hope they show up, because we’ll put on a good show.”
