Jill Snyder and Kadie Pursell helped put the ladies in the spotlight during a special non-points program Sunday at Mahoning Valley Speedway.

Snyder raced to victory in the 30-lap Street Stock feature, while Pursell took the checkered flag in the 20-lap Pro4 main.

Travis Solomon completed the list of winners with a victory in the 25-lap Hobby Stock feature.

The special Sunday afternoon program differed from Mahoning Valley’s regular points racing, with drivers competing in qualifying heats before taking to the paved quarter-mile for their respective feature events.

All three winners entered the event coming off top-five finishes in their respective divisions the previous week. Snyder had placed fourth in the Street Stocks, Solomon finished third in the Hobby Stocks and Pursell was fifth in the Pro4s.

Mahoning Valley returns to its regular Saturday night schedule this weekend with another full slate of racing.

The Sept. 12 card will be highlighted by the appearance of the Legend Cars, which were originally scheduled to compete Sunday but did not take part in the program.

Legends will join the Late Models, Hobby Stocks, Street Stocks and Pro4s, along with Twin 30-lap Junk Car races.

Racing at the Lehighton paved quarter-mile gets underway at 6 p.m.
