A Berks County woman was killed in a motorcycle crash in Lehigh County Monday.

Upper Macungie Township police said the crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. along the Route 222 bypass. Police said Shawn Balthaser, 48, of Hamburg, was driving a 1992 Harley-Davidson northbound near Mill Creek Road, when the bike left the road, traveled over two raised traffic stands during which his passenger, Yvonne Rohrbach, 51, also of Hamburg, was thrown from the bike.Police said Rohrbach sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Balthaser was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, by Cetronia ambulance with nonlife threatening injuries.Police said Balthaser and Rohrbach were wearing protective helmets.
