A party to launch Zoostock will be held from 4-8 p.m. today at The 80s Bar, 634 E. Patterson St., Lansford.

And just like Zoostock, which will be held Monday, the kickoff will feature music, fun and prizes, all to benefit the local American Cancer Society.

“We are reviving the Zoostock Kickoff this year, a night to get everyone excited about Monday’s event,” said organizer and ACS volunteer Lisa Hiles.

Those who attend will have the opportunity to purchase a commemorative Zoostock T-shirt in advance, Hiles said. The tie-dye shirts are a Zoostock staple, and this year’s features the slogan, “Party Like it’s 1776,” — a nod to the nation’s founding.

Also at the kickoff, WMGH will broadcast and Logan Polak will provide live music. Also on hand will be Chris Crumbliss and Tom Huber. There will be Zoostock trivia, a frozen T-shirt contest, raffles and more.

There is no fee to attend.

Zoostock will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday on the grounds of the former Sports Zoo, 390 W. Snyder Ave., Lansford.
