September 3, 1988 — Summit Hill’s Rose Pampanin and Bethlehem’s Dave Ahner both set new course records in winning the Annual Philip Ginder Memorial Run in Summit Hill. The five-mile race was held in conjunction with the Summit Hill Recreation Commission’s Stay at Home festivities at the Ginder Stadium. Pampanin turns in a time of 31:56 to place ninth overall and break the previous mark held by Lansford’s Ann Marie Kosciolek. Ahner runs a 25:40 to break his own record.
