A Lansford woman faces charges after a domestic dispute, an arrest and second incident involving threats over two days.

Jenelle Bassetti, 39, of Jones Street, was charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct in the first incident, and defiant trespass, resisting arrest and terroristic threats in the second.

She was remanded to the Carbon County Correctional Facility in Nesquehoning in lieu of $25,000 after her second arrest the following day.

Bail had been set $25,000 unsecured in the first incident, but District Judge Beth Dodson changed that to $25,000 straight bail following a bail revocation and preliminary hearings Wednesday. Bail is now $25,000 cash in both case, and she remains jailed.

According to court papers, Lansford police on Aug. 17 responded to a domestic dispute in which Bassetti assaulted three people during a fight, including picking up a potted plant and launching it at a man’s chest.

Bassetti resisted while in custody and continued her conduct inside a police vehicle, court papers said. She told officers that the others at the house assaulted her.

Police were called to the home again on Aug. 18, when Bassetti returned from jail and “began to flip out,” threatening a man, court papers said.

Bassetti was not to have contact with the victims as a condition of her bail and was told she had to leave when police arrived, court papers said. She yelled down the stairs that she needed a few minutes to gather her things and was told she needed to leave now, court papers said.

Bassetti told police she wasn’t going anywhere, and police forced opened her door and attempted to take her into custody. Bassetti resisted attempts to handcuff her and tried kicking the officer, court papers said.

Bassetti continued to resist, even as officers had one handcuff on her wrist, and she was warned before one of the officers deployed a Taser, court papers said. She then complied and was handcuffed.

Going downstairs, Bassetti continued to pull away and began to fight when they reached the front door, court papers said. She placed her leg on the front door to prevent them from leaving the house and her leg went through the front screen, court papers said.
