Pleasant Valley opened its volleyball season in impressive fashion Friday, sweeping East Stroudsburg South in an Eastern Pennsylvania Conference matchup.

Pleasant Valley opened its season with a 3-0 Eastern Pennsylvania Conference victory over East Stroudsburg South.
The Bears posted 25-16 victories in the first and third sets and pulled out a 29-27 win in the second.
Isabella Slizewski led Pleasant Valley at the net with eight kills and three blocks, while Lila Borger added seven kills and six digs. Kira Hnat dished out 19 assists to go along with four digs and two aces, and Ella Rothrock finished with eight digs. Hunter Farkas added five kills, three digs and two blocks in the win, while Sasha Slozina finished with five kills and one dig.

Colin Himelright made three saves for East Stroudsburg South. Palmerton’s Tomad stopped five shots.
