A pedestrian was struck by a motorcycle Tuesday afternoon in Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the incident occurred at 2:18 p.m. along Route 61 in North Manheim Township. Troopers said David W. Moyer, 61, of Schuylkill Haven, was walking along the southbound shoulder and began to cross the roadway. Beaujustin G. Kufro, 38, of Schuylkill Haven, was operating a 2003 Kawasaki Vulcan southbound in the left lane. Troopers said Moyer walked into the path of Kufro. The front tire of the bike struck Moyer. Moyer then struck the left mirror on the bike and came to rest in the left lane.He was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital East Norwegian Street, Pottsville Campus. The extent of his injuries were not known. Kufro sustained minor injuries and was also taken to LVH.
