State police at Frackville reported the following incidents:

• Packages containing a MIG/TIG welder and an extendable magnet valued at $256 were removed from the front porch of a 67-year-old Ashland man.

The theft occurred between 4 and 4:45 p.m. on July 18 on Walnut Street.

• Police charged Jeremy Escano Concepcion, 19, of Hazleton, with misdemeanor criminal mischief on July 6 for allegedly damaging a laptop computer owned by a Kline Township woman. Police said the woman was allowing Concepcion to use one of her computers, and when she took it back, Concepcion damaged another one valued at $900.

• The owner of a business on Claremont Avenue in Rush Township will be cited for control of alarm services after police responded to an alarm there at 10:40 p.m. on July 21.

Police found all doors and windows secure and found no suspicious activity. It was the fifth false alarm at the location within 12 months.

• Police are investigating a criminal mischief incident that damaged a double pane window on West Ogden Street in Girardville. A 73-year-old woman reported that an object struck the window between 11 p.m. and midnight on July 15, causing $200 in damage.

• The theft of about $2,000 in Snap-On tools from a garage on Ardmore Avenue in Hometown is under investigation.

Police said a 74-year-old woman reported that someone entered her garage between June 1 and July 13 and took the tools from a toolbox.

• A Tamaqua man whose 2008 Subaru Outback became disabled on Moss Glen Road in Schuylkill Township was driving with a suspended license, according to police.

Dakota Paisley, 29, was also in possession of marijuana when he became stranded at 7:51 a.m. on July 19, according to police. In addition to the motor vehicle charge, he faces a count of drug possession.

• A 36-year-old White Haven man was charged with stealing a registration plate from a vehicle that was parked on Logistics Drive in Mahanoy Township on July 12. Police did not identify the suspect.

The victim told police that a New York registration plate from his company vehicle, a 2023 Ford Maverick, was taken while the pickup truck was parked at a motel.

• Police charged Michael Bynon, 51, of Tamaqua, with simple assault and harassment after he allegedly struck a 42-year-old woman in the face around 7:53 a.m. on July 19 on Tuscarora Park Road.

When police arrived, they learned that Bynon had fled on foot into Tuscarora State Park.

An arrest warrant was obtained. Bynon was taken into custody and jailed in Schuylkill County Prison, but no arrest details were provided.

• Police charged Jessica O’Boyle, 38, of Pottsville, with disorderly conduct after a July 19 incident on Center Street in Ashland.

O’Boyle contacted police to say that she heard a child screaming in the apartment below hers, police said, but an investigation found no signs of criminal activity.

Police said they then learned that O’Boyle had contacted police three separate times over the past eight months and in each instance no criminal activity was found.

Based on the history of false reports, she was charged.

• A 71-year-old Girardville woman’s 2006 Buick Lacrosse was damaged between July 16 and 17, state police said. The left side mirror and front right side window were damaged. Police canvassed the area for surveillance footage and witnesses, but came up empty-handed.

• An unleashed dog owned by Patricia Zimmerman, 35, of Shamokin, bit a 4-year-old Mahanoy City girl around 4:14 p.m. on July 15 at Tuscarora State Park in Barnesville, according to police.

Zimmerman was cited for a dog law violation.

• A 22-year-old Barnesville man and a 21-year-old Pottsville man were both charged with assault with weapon following a fight that occurred on July 1 on Crest Street in Rush Township.

Police said the men, whom they did not identify, mutually agreed to the fight.

A 2021 Ram truck was involved in the incident, according to the police report.
