Jim Thorpe erupted for 23 runs over the first two innings, rolling to a 23-0 victory over Towamensing in Panther Valley 11-12 Little League Tournament action Wednesday.

Owen Hosier belted a three-run homer and finished with three hits and five RBIs to power Jim Thorpe to a 23-0 victory over Towamensing in Panther Valley 11-12 Little League Tournament play.

Jim Thorpe scored six runs in the first inning before breaking the game open with a 17-run second.

Hosier, Alex Eckert and Bentley Heydt each had three hits for Jim Thorpe. Heydt drove in three runs, Eckert doubled and knocked in two, Liam Thompson tripled, collected two hits and drove in three runs, Julius Calcano finished with two hits and three RBIs, and Vincent Montefour added a solo homer. Miles Smith also doubled and scored twice.

Eckert earned the win, allowing two hits while striking out four over two scoreless innings. Thompson pitched a hitless third inning in relief.

Robert Kromer doubled and Lucas Sutton singled for Towamensing’s only hits.
