David Reinbold has submitted his notice of retirement as the Carbon Career & Technical Institute’s Administrative Director. His retirement will be effective as of March 18, 2027.
This was Reinbold’s second stint as administrative director. He served from 2008-2022, when he retired.
Brent Borzak was appointed as Reinbold’s successor in April 2022, but resigned after a year for personal and health reasons. Borzak had been appointed to the position April 1, 2022, when Reinbold initially retired.
Reinbold, who had moved out of state, came back on an interim contract through the end of 2023. The contract called for Reinbold to be paid $438 per day with no benefits.
In November, CCTI extended Reinbold’s interim contract through June.
The JOC removed the interim tag, in April 2024, coming to an agreement to keep him at the helm of the school beyond the 2023-24 school year.
His contract runs from June 1 through May 31, 2027, and initially called for Reinbold to make $132,500 in 2024-25.
The JOC did not discuss a search for a new director.
